Who has a habit of picking their cuticule? Stop that nowwwwww! Use finger clippers who was designed to do precisely that job. I’ve done it a Million times, nothing happens right? No! Murphy Laws strikes ~ anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
I had Paronychia aka infection around the nails caused by picking your cuticule, was introduced to some kind of swollen I have never had to the point where I need to take Ibuprofen or else I couldn’t sleep.
I did felt something weird when I still in Germany yet I brushed it off like any normal people. Then when I was at Irina’s in Amsterdam its getting worse, literally was double the size from my other finger, pulsating pain, sensitive to touch. I was panicking, even more when I realized it was 3 days in a row I took Ibuprofen because of this. Dipped my finger on ice cubes hope it could numb the pain and make it smaller somehow, damn doesn’t work.
Irina said “it’s 100% infections, you gotta cut it” we can make a guilotine #Facepalm. You can still work with other fingers. Wow very relaxing Columbian advice haha Tereza was also with us when she witness the magnitude of the finger, too bad she doesn’t have any antibiotics.
The Pharmacy in Amsterdam are not helping either, “We don’t have anything, you need to go to Doctor”; Seriously? can’t you see my finger is giant size?
With no treatment on site, comes Internet to our side where it says I have to soak my finger with warm water and salt, yes that’ll do. OK, what’s to do, next common sense is ask the Germans!
My neighbour Martin has Antiseptic, finally! some light at the end of the tunnel.

What even shocking for me is when Dominik said he got the correct Salbe, he showed up not only with it, he really brought all ingredients from his Verbandskasten: gauze and pflaster? man! first time I ever use hahaha!
Asian would never even thought to have that, after 4 days in Behandlung, my finger is almost getting back to normal, yeay! Funny how different cultures react to small wound.
Moral of the story:
First and foremost; stop picking your cuticule;
Second; when in doubt, ask the Germans!
