Yeay! one more European country checked 🙂 let’s say Hi to Denmark- Copenhagen! To be honest at first I was a bit nervous because CPH will be cold brrr and it gets dark quickly, well, it’s winter time so what can I expect but I’m also very excited because of the Christmas market and so on.
I asked my sister about where to stay and she recommended Bedwood hostel- a backpacker kind of hostel because everything is so expensive in CPH yo! and the rate between DKK and CNY was kind of 1:1 so I really got a feeling that “owh this is expensive” haha I already searched on how to get to the hostel from the airport and everything went good, first day I arrived was raining but I’m kind of tired anyway so it doesn’t matter and I just got ready for my second day to do the free walking tour that Marina told me 😉
Second day, I’m getting up on a 4AM ish I think haha and I had my breakfast on the hostel-need to pay extra ofc then get myself ready to do my first walking tour 😉 we met at the City Hall Square.
We did the walking tour for 3 hours and we kind of cover all the important building from CPH like Christiansborg palace, Amalienborg palace, Nyhavn and the rest I just strolled around by myself.
The next day I did another route of walking tour and it wasn’t rain but it’s windy and cold as hell! I went to another places like Roundtower and ended up at Christiania. I got warned by Lars that don’t buy anything at Christiania and yes I obliged him 😉
After two days having a sort of “guide” to tell you what is this, what is that, I’m ready to explore 🙂 For the second hostel I stayed at Generator Copenhagen and this is such a cool hostel! Cooler than Bedwood 🙂
My own adventure I went to Hans Christian Andersen “Museum” or I’d rather called “exhibition” because it’s only a small place and doesn’t resemble a museum at all. The ticket guy said that it will only take 10-15 mins to visit but it took me 1 hour or so because I read almost all the stories there 😉 The little mermaid, the tin soldier, the ugly swan, thumbelina and so on and so on.
Then I went to Church of Our Savior but the weather was so perfect that day, we had some sun so I did took a couple of shoots, with me on the pic 😉
There was no doubt in my mind that I had to go to this church, this is the church that my mom and my sister went before so… gotta visit it no matter what, Eduardo said to me that when he wanted to visit it, it was closed due to bad weather, so my plan B was if it closed, I’ll go to Round Tower….but, lucky me 😉 it was opened 😉
Next I went to the Little Mermaid and Kastellet, nothing special about little mermaid….it’s just a statue but yeah need to go there because I already in CPH anyway 😉
I was already so tired but still need to visit Kastellet because it’s just around the area, however I didn’t go till the end of Kastellet, I just saw what is that and okay enough, my legs need to have rest before my adventure in the evening hahaha
Me and Mariana went to Magic Ice Bar CPH which is just on the ground floor of our lovely Generator CPH hostel and the place is pretty cool, you just can’t stay there more than 30 mins because it’s freezing cold!!
Then we went to lovely Tivoli! It’s a garden slash amusement park, yeah I know sounds like a bad idea to go to the garden and amusement park on winter time but no no no! they have a very lovely Christmas decoration! as Indonesian, to see Christmas ornament really makes me happy 🙂
And Tivoli spelled backwards is ILOVEIT 😉 and I really love it XX
Thank you my legs for keeping up with me, I probably walked for 20km that day haha. I need some glogg to warm myself 😉
Unfortunately, all the holiday needs to end and I took it easy for my last day, I went to Det Lille Apotheke the seems very old restaurant and went to the fresh market to just let myself droll over a very please in the eye pastries 😉
The pictures say itself how happy I am and how not happy my wallet was haha but meh who cares 😉
Thank you CPH for having such a “Hygge” concept, thank you HC Andersen for reminding me that “Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale”
I’m officially in love with Europe, it’s just really a different feeling there, hopefully in the next coming years I can visit them more often <3
