Discoveries

I discovered many new things during my stays with Irina 😀 from snacks to stores to experiences, let’s get to the bottom of it!

She brought me to Xenos, oh how I love that place, can get Asian snacks! Hope it will be spicy, it’s not #What have I thought pffff. She is the queen of snacks, the good one are keep beckoning her to buy it. Not only Amsterdam is heaven for Asian snacks #Power of Colonization! but also for sweets, we accidentally passed by a new Cinnamon rolls shop #Lecker lecker

Visited Thrift stores where I finally can buy pants for my size: two of it + two tops. Funny how I need to go to the tallest populations in order to get what fits me #Ironic. It is really an appropriate good stores, not smelly or disgusting, they really do take care of it. You can find everywhere here from tableware to clothes to piano haha. I kept questioning myself “how can I carry these to Germany?” 😉

Wow look at that, the opening bridge for ships, I saw it twice. Word from Irina “Look at this building Marlyn, you are standing in front of history from 1689” Gotcha, snap snap.

She known I won’t leave Amsterdam until I ate in Indonesian restaurant. Well, to get rid of me haha she make sure it happened. She found a new one called Toko Bersama where we got to meet Novrie. Look at our portion, it is massive and it’s very delicious too! We got free Krupuk + water + located near Irina’s + we had to take it home (read: got food for next day). Without a doubt, this will be our new favourite place.

Not to forget going to Warung Made, the place where I always went, to see Zara again 🙂 on that day, we got a bonus aka two new friends: Poppy and Tari! Our conversation started from the very normal wishy washy talk such as “where are you from etc” to sharing a personal toilet experience?! What?! Irina has a lot of it! she even explained the difference between the USA, EU and Asian one whoaaa hygiene engineering to the max!

I always like to go to Amsterdam, it is a fun city to visit, especially with all of these new discoveries, the game changes to another excitement level. Irina even says there are thrift store where I can bring my stuff then they will exchange it with “Points” to be able to use in their store; blew my mind. Say goodbye to my handbag signature, I’m coming with my luggage from now on 😉

Smart takes:

  • Oh I took a FlixBus to Amsterdam remember? Guess what? two policemen came inside shouting “Passport control” yes it was written that I need to bring Passport, lucky me I actually listened. This was my first time I got ever checked; well….. to be honest, I usually took trains. He even asked questions like the Airport Customs: is it your first time in Ams, how long will you stay, where is your accommodation, are you on holiday or business. Bottom line, bring your passport everywhere even when you only crossing the border.
  • Activate your “Data Roaming” just as long as you’re inside EU or else you couldn’t use your German phone number. Thank you to the young lady in the Sloterdijk Station for your help!

It’s Me, Hi!

I’ve got my first visitor ever from the Hungover Games, yeay! finally can show the city I called home for the past… ehem…. 4 years 5 months 21 days #Still counting ~ till the day Dennis arrived. I really needed this day-off more than anything therefore I was genuinely happy he visited me 🙂

On his first day, I showed him what Dortmund has to offer, which are: our version of 南京西路, instead of having 外滩 at the end, we went to Ubahn Station to visit our second destination, Dortmunder U. Dennis, the U is from the Dortmunder, not from the U-Bahn 的 U.

They offer free Museum entrance, it has two floors with quiet interactive videos or “sounds” instalation if we press the very well hidden button. At first we were confused on where does the sounds come from until the security told us then we proceed with moving our asses from one button to the next haha

There is a room where they explained about one specific painting, how they transported it around Europe. While we looked around Dennis realized “oh this is the real box”.

Dennis wanted to have a magnet of Dortmund, I brought him to BVB Fanwelt. When we’re done we went back to the Ubahn Station where I almost brought him to the wrong direction. He said “Darling, we just went straight, did you already forget when I said ‘such a nice path’?” haha

Off again to our version of 南京西路 to have coffee at Maximilian. Once recharged, continued our daytrip to Phoenix See, it is always good to show the manmade lake alongs with the big houses from rich Dortmunder. Closed the day by having dinner at Mukii. We weren’t convinced if we want to have All You Can Eat, our response was: are we gonna able to eat more than 36 Euros? Dennis answered, “well, we will make sure we reach it!” It was like a fun and strategic eating, in order to reduce food waste, we can only order 8 dishes within 10 minutes.

We formulated so many strategy such as “okay maybe not all rice, let’s do some skewers” Followed by “let’s have snacks like Edammame” Done it. No matter how perfectly our plan in the brain, the executing was a bit difference. After 3 full rounds, the Ipad will be unlocked within 10 seconds, Dennis said “Darling, we need to order again” Boahhh…. were really full. In the end we can only eat full of 4,5 rounds, they did forget one menu which we were so greatful #Thanks God!

On his second day, I do HO whereas he went to Düsseldorf, only to come back ontime to see our Proud Dortmund: Signal Iduna Stadion. Hainka picked us up at my place, we went to the Schwimmbad not for schwimmen, only to gangged up with his friend before the game started. Okay, this is the moment, moving on to inside the Stadion. We were there one hour before kick off, they have the Camera shot to audiences, I realized they shot our area but I didn’t see myself. Dissappointed…. no more! the camera rolled once again. Hiiiii, it’s me! me me me me, here! 😀

We did felt the Euphoria for 3 seconds before BVB Goal was considered as Offside 🙁 Nevertheless, it was a good experience, at least I was on the screen! although it’s not for people outside the Stadion, yet it’s good enough for my existence 😉

Tausend Dank für Hainka and Kowal um Ticket zu besorgen, 谢谢 Dennis for being my guest #Till we meet again 🙂

Mission: Half Accomplished

On my second day in Munich, I was the only one who still on holiday, don’t want to disturb the Home Officinas, I went back to die Wiesn. Gio gave me some tips such as Teufelsrad + Tobogan + Käfer Zelt where all Promis located, Kaiserschmann for sweets, Old Wiesn~ have to pay 4 Euro entrance ticket. This time when I re-enter die Wiesn, I really take it all in, looking at all the stands, row by row.

Had to had some snacks wie Bretzel, Mais, hot chocolate because it was still considered early, the attractions hasn’t really started yet. I made some note in mind about where is what, what’s here that are not on Kirmes, what would I do. I was always outside, which means later on it’s (read: I) kind of getting cold.

I went to watch Floh Circus with zero expectation what is all about, didn’t even know what Floh means. The guy explained in German yet it was Bayern German, have 0 understanding whatsoever, all other people seems to got it. What I know is the Flea are somehow tight into a “cable” thingy, their movement combined with other tiny stuffs result into some “performance” named it kicking a ball or other things like what people on Circus do. Thank you for the ticket lady who gave me Student price haha you made my day <3

Being inside the circus for 10 minutes inspires me to go to another insiders, proceed to the Teufeulsrad! spent almost an hour there chilling, watching how the same kids keep holding his position as last man sitting! The MC divide the participants by saying, now is the age from 1-8, 9-14, 14-17, all the seniors or so. Some kids really good at it, when the round need to change but the last kid still there, come the Lasso! I would like to join however when they said “Erwachsene ab 18” all the guys as big as rugby player just jump in, I was like whatttt???? they said “we need some ladies” no way in hell I’m gonna compete against those guys, #Intimidated 🙁

Usually the Reihenfolge always from younger to oldest, not-usually, it will depends on the MC’s mood. He had special round for paramedics, then special guest from Australia. Ich so hääää, am I hearing it correctly? Australia is….far….? it knocked my concentration out. Doch the MC said it again! “Here is our special guest, we are doing live show from Münich for Australia, hope the Übertragung works, we need lady with Dirndl”. That’s me!!!! my bad I wasn’t ready at all, was busy drinking water from Claudias foldable Wasserflasche, wasn’t fast enough to drop everything then join them. One of the German lady was so excited she managed to snapped some pictures, make an eye contact with her colleague to record a video with him. I thought these two Ozies guy must be something, lets have a selfie with the Promi, this is my Ziel anyway! Nervous, started slowly, getting closer to them, whatever! tapped one of them, got it! Wohooo Proudly send it to Sissy only to get a “Huh?” comment.

Second special guest, which are Youtuber, meh he looks like a normal German. Literally how my colleague looks like, selfie’s not needed. I already forget their Youtube name, Zauber? Zabeer? something with Z. He did spelled it to me, in a hurry…. porque?

After my encounter with the Promis or so I thought haha they inspires me to keep my eyes open for another Promis just like the first week of Oktoberfest where my Instagram were full of Bayern Fußballspieler wearing Lederhose, posting picture with one mas Beer, hoping I will see one of them.

Mission hopping around from Tent to Tent, searching some subtle signs, looking for someone who being interviewed or followed by cameras. Result: don’t see any Promis 🙁 Those two were the one I kind of managed #Right place at the right time. Approaching 16:30 I wasn’t allowed to get into the Tent anymore as they are only for RSVP.

As the final act I wanted to try the Tobogan escalator, obviously holding the guy’s hand. I mean… if I fell down hahaha there are thousands of people watching at the bottom. Them, myself included laughed at some people who fell down, as a believer of Karma, they would do the same to me. Therefore I decided to get his help from the beginning.

Not only it was very fast also the surface wasn’t really smooth, consist of connecting Holz, not one long Holz, in between you will fell the separation that’s the moment where some people lose their balance.

Closing the day in the Wiesn with seeing the view from Tobogan “Tower” is top hey, tomatoes tomatoes with sunset on the beach hahaha. I will for sure come back with the same program: one day with table RSVP, second day without! Had to be honest, you are tempted to spend your money here, every Mitbringsel are eye catching. I was looking at Oktoberfest shirt cost 30 Euro, I came to my sense, meh! my Dirndl cost 200 Euro, this is the real Oktoberfest outfit! #Willpower vs Running out of money already, depends on which sides of coins you are looking at 😉

Since I only had snacks at the Wiesn, stomach is calling for real food! We three had dinner in an Arabic? Lebanese? oh my, now I sounds racist. Regardless, it was a very good one, all people that were eating there were considered authentic, we got no tourist from the Wiesn 🙂 have many meat dinner!

Oh, don’t forget to mention how me & Claudia somehow matchy matchyyyy like sister from another mother, Gio needs to be out from the picture hihihi

On my third day~ the so called departure day back to Dortmund, I met QQ #unbedingt, I always informed him if I go to South part of Germany and Krisma a.k.a my neighbor in Karawang when we were toddler, we never met again up until now!

I craved for Asian Noodle, Gio said Max Beef Noodle is the place to be, that’s where we go #nomnom. Afterwards QQ went to Wiesn whereas we continued with having Kaiserschmann 🙂

Thank you my friends, Claudia & Giovanni for sowohl hosting als auch dinner invitation, QQ & Krisma for having the time to meet me. We will see us again, I still have to make my half accomplished mission to full accomplished 😉 until then….auf Wiedersehen Wiesn! You’d been spectacular #wowed

We Need to Calm Down

Last day before Iri continued her trip to Kuala Lumpur, we really need to calm down 🙂

Oyke took us to a Luwak Coffee hmmm not really a plantation, same same but different, mir fehlt das Wort. The name of the place is Uma Pakel Bali ~ Agro Tourism. They don’t have many Luwaks because it’s not where it all stays, they process the poop into coffee, let’s put it that way.

Anyway what do we do here is we saw one sleeping Luwak, yes it’s a nocturnal animal. His dried poops ~ FYI not smelly ~ how they extract coffee from the poops which is not a lot, moreover he is not pooping every day. The rarity caused Luwak coffee is the world’s most expensive coffee.

We got a set of trial Coffee & Tea for free, Irina ordered one cup of Trial Luwak coffee for 65K. Uma Pakel itself is really Zen-ing, durch die Nase einatmen durch den Mund ausatmen, ooooommmmm.

The very Ubud’s vibe is Rice Terrace view, of course with swings photos spot who act like a franchise you can find it almost everywhere.

Then we went to Uma Ceking Rice Terraces. Didn’t pay extra cost for taking pictures with clothes in the swing, happy with the Kostenlose nest ones 🙂 We played quiet some time with the Love sign, tried to put both our feet into our fingers, didn’t work, should’ve left the heart alone #Wink

This time Irina went down to the sign Uma Ceking while I stayed up there, she was confused like how can I go down in NP where the weather & the steps was worse than this? Well…. I have been wearing Havaianas flip flop all the time, my feet are hurting, I can’t wear shoes either yo it’s too warm hahaha should have bought the Birkenstock #German, bring your national sandals.

Next place is Ubud Market, you have to bargain, I didn’t really do it. I mean, I did until I got cheaper price than in DE, except I’m not squeeze them, can’t do that to my people. We met Oyke in Barong Cafe where he made us drinks. Most of the food we ate are either Nasi Ayam (chicken rice) or Bebek (Ente).

Last destination is Tegunungan Waterfall! There is also a beach club called Oma Beach Club not with infinity pool vibe like TT, instead with Waterfall background. You can see from the top how the beach club looks like afterwards decided if you want to go or not. You can also see it from near had you willing to take the stairs down, we didn’t, just saw it from distance is enough haha

I told Iri what I always do on my last day in Indonesia is to cut my hair! Subsequently we are looking for a saloon! When you are in Ubud there is a restaurant called “Bebek Tepi Sawah” the literal German translation is Ente neben dem Feld haha yes there is a real Sawah. This is the premium Bebek restaurant. Funny thing is the day before while we were on the way from Tirta Gangga to Ubud we also had a Bebek street food style. I called it Bebek Tepi Jalan or “Ente neben der Straße” hahaha European People don’t have anything from Street food please, your belly won’t handle it. #No jokes.

That was my trip experience with my bitch Irina 😀 not sure if she enjoyed it, she was sweating also becoming a mosquito target the whole time. While I only apply on sunscreen, she put sunscreen + repellent. Well, it’s gotta happen anywhere in South East Asia, not only in Bali, suck it up! haha

Got to be honest, she didn’t experience Bali’s beginners tourist, neither does she want that, that’s why she went with me 🙂

Bonus Tippssss:

  • Private Tour with Oyke 950K for 9 hours.
  • Overtime Oyke for 10 hours, it’s basically another day haha due to traffic and destination distances like Karangasem that just way too far from Ubud, so we paid 1Million extra time.
  • Rosella Tee while visited Uma Pakel 110K
  • Entrance Uma Ceking (not with the Swing photos etc) 50K
  • Entrance Tegunungan Waterfall 20K
  • Ubud Market, don’t pay more than 100K for each piece of cloth.

Who is Oyke btw? he is not a random guy I found on internet like the NP Tours one, he is a boyfriend of my University friend. Balinese, his main job is Bali Shisha Service, in spite of that, he used to open his own tour agency. If you want to talk Oyke, compare price, schedule etc, please contact me and I will give Oyke’s WA. He’s not taking customers from outside other than from references as he is focusing more of his Shisha business.

This is him!

Who’s coming next to Bali? #来来来

Sold

Kicking off the trip with Melasti beach + being at Tropical Temptation Beach Club. I told Sherly I really want to visit a beach club as I have never been to any of it, she recommended TT for a smooth way as our itinerary for first day is to visit Uluwatu Temple.

We arrived 10 minutes before opening hours at 11:00 therefore Oyke took us to see the surroundings then came back pünktlich.

The pool in the TT Beach club is kind of giving infinity pool vibe due to the Melasti beach is on the background. At that time, they are not allowing us to go to there, according to them there was a big current, they want to avoid we swim there. Agreed not to, we just want play on the water until a log hit our ankle aaaargghhh so painful, OK that’s the sign, go back to the swimming pool!

Let’s just enjoy the time in the safe & clean pool. We replicate the Little Mermaid Statue.

My smart ass thought whenever we are in the water, we don’t need sunscreen. Irina told it was the complete opposite as the exposure of the sun was magnified. Wait about 20 minutes until our sunscreen absorbing our body by enjoying our drinks 🙂

The toilet from TT Beach club is just the best, we were sold to it! didn’t even want to move on to other Beach club, was really hard to bid farewell T.T One Duschkabine ist available with soap & shampoo, you can rent Handtuch or bring yours like I did, only downside: no hairdryer #First world problem 😉

Irina wanted to have a massage, originally it might be a good idea to get massage on the beach. Went to Dream Land, no need for you to go there, it’s clearly the below level beach club. Nope, can’t lay down under this heat, better look a real Spa place on the street, inside a room with AC, we found Zahra Spa Uluwatu, they provide a bowl of full flower underneath your face hmmmmm smells so nice!

Here is the final destination for today, Uluwatu Temple.

There are monkeys around, advice: don’t wear glasses, hat, avoid eye contact, make a fist, walking around like a beginner tourist taking selfie etc. The monkey will take it! Oh not to mention, take a Rabies Vaccine #I became a German, FYI haven’t had it either, didn’t even think about it. Only until Irina said his friend went to a cave in Malaysia to which he was unfortunately got scratched by a monkey so now he is on hospital getting rabies vaccine. I need to get that one too. The monkeys are open in the wild, only the Albino one in cage since the others bullying him 🙁

Okay, refocus to Uluwatu. Why did I go here? To watch Kecak dance performace. There are of course other places to watch Kecak for example in Ubud but Sherly said the Kecak in Uluwatu is the best owing to the cliff and sunset lookout. They have 2 shows of Kecak, one at 18:00, second at 20:00. We didn’t get the ticket for 18:00 huhu

See the people behind me? That’s the first Kecak show at 18:00. Hey, have a look at the sky, perfect!

We still have time, thus we went out from the temple to eat around the area. Once we came back, the sunset approaching the second kecak dance is very beautiful.

The Kecak dance story is about Ramayana, love story between Rama & Sita. We only watched until Sita got kidnapped by Rahwana who was in disguised as an old man. Then came Hanoman (the monkey) ~ a friend from Rama to search for the area where Sita at.

Oyke said for some spiritual believe, the one at 20:00 is better than the 18:00 because of some spirit effect that came out after sunset, the Kecak dancers got more energy. You may believe it or not. I, on the other side only see from the practical issue. I’d suggest you chose the 18:00 not only you will get the sunset view during the Kecak’s performance, also you still have time to look around after the dance while it’s not yet super dark, on top of that you are avoiding the traffic by letting other people go first.

At least I can see the beautiful sky going darker until 20:00, except, after this hour, it’s pitch black. If you choose the 20:00 then it’s only for the show, when it finished everything will be too dark for you to be able to see anything.

Or you do what me and Irina did, we only stays for 30 minutes, went home while all of these people still watching to avoid the traffic as we need to wake up very early the next day.

The adventure with Irina had just begun 🙂

Bonus Tipssss, here are my expenses for first day (Melasti Beach – TT Beach Club – Zahra Uluwatu Massage – Uluwatu Temple watching Kecak Dance)

  • Private tour with Oyke 950K for 9 hours. Overtime will be calculated later, undertime? won’t happening bro 😉
  • Entrance to Melasti Beach I forget maybe 20K for foreigners; 10K for local.
  • Relaxing at TT Beach club, there was written no minimum amount required don’t know how long that promotion will last, just in case it’s not exist anymore, you have to spend 1 Millions Rupiah. Don’t worry, you will, we had 2 food + 4 drinks, it cost us around 700K just order some snacks and you will fulfill it. Better see it from the website https://ttbeach.club/
  • Massage at Zahra Spa, cost 200K. Visit their website zahraspauluwatu.com
  • Entrance to Uluwatu Temple 50K for foreigners; 30K for local. Kecak Dance has only one price 150K. Wear modest in Temple area, they will provide Sarung, don’t wear showing shoulder clothes. A General info, women in menstruation are not allowed to enter any Temple in Bali.
  • Strongly suggest you to book the Kecak dance at 18:00 through Traveloka website. There are no seat arrangement, better be around the entrance about 20 mins before, its not a German que, you will get passed by other people. You can book only the Kecak dance or whole tour, go to https://www.traveloka.com/en-en type Kecak dance. Another option is follow the whole itinerary tour from them but do it with my friend Oyke haha
  • Simple dinner around Uluwatu, I think it’s around 150K.
  • Bear in mind 1 Euro = 18K Rupiah 🙂
  • Cash, Germans, not new news haha you can use international card in most restaurants only there will always be around 3% additional charge.
Recap in motion 🙂

When I was in Stockholm, I saw the advertisement of Taylor Swift The Eras Tour-Movie will release on 13.10. I’m not sure about the strategy behind the release day before her tour in Europe, that’s why Erin doesn’t want to watch it because she wants to experience it first hand when Taylor Swift comes to Europe….. For the Americans yes it’s super make sense as she just finished her tour in USA. Me, on the other hand, really want to see it since I’m not sure if I get scammed even if I’m not I will be sitting way way way way on top, I’d better watch the movie to know where to look when she comes next year haha 😉

Who is the Swifties in Dortmund? Feli: she’s on Erin’s side, who else? Chantal!!! she got a ticket for next year from the official website yet she still wants to watch the movie! YES! Let’s gooooooo!

We fueled ourselves up with Waffle + Hot Chocolate. I asked her if I can sing inside the Cinema? She said maybe a bit leise…. Yes people won’t want to hear my voice haha I have to remind myself that I’m in Europe, we are not the loud American who have their own concert inside the cinema #Unfortunately

The movie itself was 2,5 hours while her concert was 3 hours, das ist nicht ohne oder?! Leute! I have to be honest with you, I was so so so soooooo enchanted by her ability, The Eras Tour’s concept, stage performance to which she totally nailed it!

Even for a Rookie-Swiftie she managed to make me have tears in my eyes for some weird reason: I felt so proud of her and her team to be able to pull out something beyond words like that!

It is really really hypnotizing, congratulations to people who get their tickets! I was humming all the time, thanks to the movie comes with a song lyrics haha. Here is the video of some songs I like:

Right after watching her movie, I started to listening to some of her other songs which I didn’t know before like Bejeweled, Enchanted, Cruel Summer, Mastermind (she is a really mastermind).

It was worth spending 19,89 Euro on it!

I would be enchanted to meet you 🙂

Harry, Is That You?

Me and Erin first discover this place because we were in the city center earlier than we planned. Lead us to still have some time before my hair cut, we came into a Library, a National Library of Stockholm to be exact. We thought we need to pay to enter, we muss not, just hang our clothes and bring in nothing. Guess what? this place is amazing!!!!

They have an exhibition about…. very controversial topic: The Devil’s Bible! Obviously we have to take a look of it.

Time’s up! Need to checked out for my saloon appointment. I will return, now it is my go-to place! Imagine studying in this kind of environment, brooooooooo!!! take me out! I want to be a student again!

Next day, precisely when I came back to Estocolmo from Vaxholm, I will meet Syuke for dinner after he finish work caused me to have some time to wait, where? obviously the National Library of Stockholm! I explore more of this library 🙂 they do have an old book like 300 years old book, the one that I even afraid to touch it. Oh I found one! as I am aging in Stockholm, found a book about women and aging haha

I really feel like I’m on the Library of Hogwarts! Harry, is that you? Nope, but I could be Draco Marfoy 😉 #Team Slytherin #After all this time, Always

Pay Attention – Part 2

The agenda for my second day exploring Estocolmo is to watch the changing guard ceremony at the Royal Palace and go to ABBA Museum. QQ’s recommendation, he said it’s a very interactive Museum with ABBA Avatar, the one I can dance along. I had to remind him that I will go there alone, who will help me recording myself? Hmmm, we shall see!

I arrived few minutes before 12:00, asked the guard where will the changing guards ceremony takes place? “See the stairs? Take it and you can’t miss it, it’s all there”. Spot on! there are many people already, I kind of get the side spot.

The Bell rang at 12:00 however there is no actions other than the bell was ringing. It could be the Church Bell though which has nothing to do with the ceremony. Few minutes later, the side guard started to walk back and forth, still no special things until 12:15. We have more guards coming out from the middle door to start the ceremony. They also have a “moderator” or “MC” or maybe “Captain”? Well, he was the one who announced “Welcome to today’s changing of the guards of Royal Palace” in both Swedish and English.

I was stand by the whole time, I mean…. I got only one job, pay attention! Here is the recap with 3x speed or else you have to watch it for over 10 minutes 😉

I texted Lisa if she could make the time to go to ABBA Museum with me as her agenda for that day was Kayaking in Vaxholm, she will be done in the afternoon, let’s see if our time matched again. While waiting for her WA, I am strolling around the area.

To bad, she couldn’t make it…. here I am, crossed the bridged by my own, off to ABBA 🙂

Allow me to unfold the secret of why I have a shame relationship with one of ABBA song, particularly the Dancing Queen one. This is our (Sissy and I) “aib” for as long as we shall live! we were on ‘oopps’ I meant formed a Band! Oh God! I wish I could wipe it from my memory 😀 I was on 5th Grade, Sissy 6th. I played drum, Sissy keyboard and Rivi is the Dancing Queen singer hahaha! I can’t even fathom why would we ever want to do that. The only good thing coming out from this is Sissy met her BFF Rivi. We love you Rivi! #4eva <3

OK, 5th grade was a century ago, it’s time to face my “aib” demon, enter that Museum door please!

It started with their journey, the clothes they were wearing, achievements, history of them-little did I knew they are all Sweden #All white people looks the same 😉 hihi I was still a child when my father played all the songs through a laser disc player. How should I knew they are all Swedish? I thought all English speaking countries came from America haha

They have a labyrinth dedicated to all their achievements. Besides all of it, they also display the set of Mamma mia, here I go again. Picture on the Mamma mia car?! how can I resist you?

Here are the interactive part where you can sing along-or maybe for me better not, a Karaoke room where you can look over the recording studio, silent disco where you just put a headset so your music could be different from other people’s music. The Avatar I have been waiting for! Audition for the 5th Member of ABBA 😉 Will I make it???

I believe the Avatar was made based on their real size? Supposedly right….I looked at myself on the video, damn! they are all so tall!

Thank you ABBA for your music! You guys were and are still phenomenal!

Vitamin D – Part 2

I need to start with the fact that I’m not really a Museum type of girl. I only go there when the weather is bad, however exceptions applies #wink there are 2 famous Museums in Stuttgart. Are they a Castle Museum thingy? No! Instead…. Porsche and Mercedes Benz Museum! AAAAA

Let’s gooooo!

Took the SBahn to the Porsche Museum. On the intersection before entering the Museum, I saw one car that was so geheim, it was all covered, could be a brand new car from Porsche! Yo! I “witness” something!

The lady on the ticket counter asked if I’m a student, thank you Lady! Unfortunately no, then she asked if I come with DE Ticket, yes! so I got a Rabatt, who doesn’t like discounts?!?! 5 Euro entrance fee it was 🙂 She gave me an audio guide, let’s explore the world of Porsche!

They started directly by putting a racing cars, yes you can see some tractor style or just an expensive cars on the side but mainly its all about racing. It is really cool to see all of type of cars laying there to please your eyes 🙂 Funny things is I took a picture of a Porsche car who doesn’t have a door handle from the outside, find it?

They also have the let’s call it “ancient” car of Porsche, I have to admit, it has some style!

On the center floor, we could have a bit of Porsche Experience. They put a playing car like you have in Game Master Daytona, I played it for 3 laps to confirm what I already knew, I need to re-learn my driving ability. They displayed 3 Porsche cars, you can sit inside it. In my view, they are quiet low… followed by throwing a complaint to a car that I would never afford to have in this life haha Girl you got a discounted entrance ticket!

Oh what’s that?!?! One Disney Car caught my attention, from all the sports car available, I’m sold to a Disney Car! I thought it was the Susi-Car, a cartoon movie back then when me and my sister still small, we cried watching it. A story about broken car named Susi who looks exactly like this blue Porsche car. Susi was a Taxi Car yet no one wants to be on it as many of her parts were broken, therefore she needs a reparation. In the end, Susi had no other option other than go to the Werkstatt. But once she’s out, she’s new again! me and my sister were happy!

Getting closer to the plate, oh, it wasn’t a Susi-Car, it’s Sally Carrera from the movie Cars pfffff to be honest, I only remembered the color was blue haha!

I spend a good 3 hours inside the Museum.

Moving on to number 1 list to do when visiting Stuttgart, it’s the Mercedes Benz Museum. Oh! I read on the back of my Porsche Ticket that if I show it they will give me a Rabatt to enter Mercedes Benz, yuhuuu!! Money Wins! 9 Euro entrance ticket after the discount.

This is huge! like huge huge huge! the elevator took you to the 7th floor then you just go down in a loop like number 8. Amazing! My colleague, PV told me there are only 3 Mercedes car ever produced and one of them is in the Museum. This was my target, need to find it!

Back to the 7th floor, they showed us the history from only “the grandfather clock” machine

As I said each floor of Mercedes Benz Museum was design like a number 8, main car show in the middle, then pictures about what’s happening in the whole world on the one side of loop number 8, then “exhibitions” of some cars on the other side. This “exhibitions” could be a car for fire fighter, bus, football team, Pope. Ich bin echt überfordert!

I am already tired before I found the expensive car! I expect if one car is really only 3 exist in this world, it should be glass doored or at least with a security. I’m very surprise that wasn’t the case! Ladies and Gentleman, here is the most expensive car, the car that only sick people could afford. The 135 Million Euros’ car!

Imo, this car is geiler! Doesn’t mean it cost less money, nevertheless see the interior, color and design! TOP!

I felt satisfied to find the 135 Millions Euro car but not my stomach, I was hungry! Need to fast forward my walking speed! until I stumbled into….. okay I went there on the King Charles Coronation day. What did I see? a Mercedes that Princess Diana was once on it! ironic ehhh..

Reach 1st floor about the innovation of today with electric car and so on. For some reason it wasn’t so interessting, bring back the race car!

yes they did! Racing history 🙂

I spend a good 4,5 hours there, had I’ve been allowed to have some snacks while walking around inside the museum for sure I could reach 6 hours easily. At some point I was just tired and hungry, need to go out to eat or else I could faint!

Although I’m not a car-junkie I really think both are worth visiting for, only a recommendation, for Mercedes I really do think better go there after enjoying a big meal 😉

Calum Scott

Nope it won’t be about how star-struck I was when I met him because I didn’t, I wish I was <3 It’s about his song “You are the reason…..” aaaaaaaaaaa fits perfectly fit with what I wanted to say about September month! He is always my fav month, first, simply because I exist in Sept #no doubt about it and second….. well, I just found out the second reason this Monday when I’m back to office.

I (and all 300 NW employess) got a voucher on their desk, because it’s NW 5 year anniversary in Dortmund! And with this voucher I can buy a book consist of “Restaurants deals” or “Free-time deals”

I chose “Free-time deals” ha! surprise that I’m not even tempted by eating activity this time 🙂 rather I will have something like going to cinema, laser-tag, sport etc and it’s valid until 2022. It is for whole region in NRW, I don’t have car but it won’t stop me! I will use it to the max, life is getting more and more awesome these days! Btw I was surprised when I received it because the voucher book is soooooo small but fits with my belief “good things comes in small package” 🙂

Thank you Nordwest, looking forward for more anniversary to come! Please make it yearly 😀
