Status (Upgraded Version) July

Been manifesting it for some time until finally some time arrives….

I would like to have a bit of trip down to memory lane. BC haha sounds very ancient, Before Covid, QQ told me one of our elementary friend got American citizenship. Then in AC ~ you got it, After Covid, beg of 2020 I saw my friends from high school, Pathy posted her Canadian Permanent Residence after 5 years being there. I got used to Indonesian getting PR from Australia (many of my friends have it Mario, Ntan, Alvin, Aldrich not forget to mentioned my own Sissy and all cousins) but Canada…. hey that’s something else! Talked with Marissa, she’s aiming to get New Zealand’s PR.

Me, meanwhile thinking….. What can I do to get one? Perhaps a more proper question was, from which country I want to have that? I kind of quiet familiar with the PR system, it should be more or less the same everywhere, the younger you started to be in one country, the bigger your points. I was already 7 years in Shanghai, meaning 28 going 29 years old at that time. Damn! I lost from the start.

As you know it, not long after that thought comes to mind, all the stars were aligned 🙂

Landed Düsseldorf Airport on 28th August 2020 for a job. Remember how happy I was when I passed my probation period and got my permanent employee status in 2021? Listen, the status went from being amazing to being incredible.

How long did it takes? 28.08.2020-08.07.2024 = 3 years 10 months 11 days = 1411 days. Years preparation for language test, months preparation for Leben in Deutschland test, all repaid.

The magnificent function of this card is not verständlich for some people who are blessed to be born in the developed country. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with mine, I love Indonesia. However, having German PR has definitely put my mind on ease.

Of course there are still many countries better than Germany, FYI just stating the fact, not looking for one. No one knows what the future brings. One thing I know, it will be really hard to beat this one 😉 The thought of leaving you someday…. nope, Germany, you won’t see me leaving in any foreseeable future <3

Thank you Andreas & PV for the help on writing Email to the Ausländerbehörde, thank you Claudia & Esther for the “we will answer it all together” LID model test. Most of all, thank you Julia & Stefan for kicking door of opportunity for me. Wait, like everything, there is always behind the scene person, all of this will not happen if Lukas didn’t leave Nordwest, therefore thanks to you too 🙂

#Left my heart here, my second Heimat.
