I tune in Instagram quiet a lot to realized Taylor Swift will do a Tour in Europe next year, literally next year in July 2024. Although I’m not a Swiftie, I won’t mind to buy a ticket, since I watched many clips from her Era’s Tour to know that she was a really good performer, her stage concept is outstanding. There are maybe only 2 concerts I want to witness, Taylor Swift and Coldplay.
Some day, all my stories are full of Pre-Sale Ticket, can’t wait lalala, I have 0 knowledge about it. Asked the professional tickets lady Louise if I can go with her or she buy me one. Too bad, she already reached the limit of 4 tickets. Me, on the other hand, really put no effort haha obviously I didn’t get it.
Googled “how to buy a Taylor Swift concert in Germany” came up many website, one of them is Viagogo.com oh! I know this website, let me buy 1 Ticket from there. I looked at the empty seat available, it was far far far away from the stage….hmmm “well, let’s buy it” YOLO without even think there is still 365 days from now.
Few days later I talked with Sofie who got her tickets from the official seller that’s when the reality hits me, the price was more than half of my price, not to mention cherry on top, Viagogo is a scammer, there are so many bad reviews. Beginner mistake, I let the hype got the better of me #lesson learned.
Since I’m still on IG, I know Coldplay will do Music Of The Spheres World Tour also next year in July. I have bought my Taylor Swift Ticket, be as it may! I’ll buy Coldplay too! Sophie told me how to get it from official seller Ticketmaster, on 24.07 I’ll get a Presale Code, only with this code I can buy the pre sale ticket.
On the dooms day which is on 25.07, I was on time, 10AM was the time they will start selling, I stand by like around 09:45. It says I will be redirected to the waiting room once the clock hits 10:00, so far so good. Until the clock turns 00. It’s not good, I am number 199.937 #shocked! what the hell is going on here? Starring at my monitor…..hmm is this shit even moving? How long will it takes to finally my turn to buy the ticket or if there’s still an empty seat by that time.
4 hours on the line, still didn’t see any progress on Düsseldorf concert, okay let me see in which cities will Coldplay do the tour. Among all, one attract my attention, Budapest. I have never been to Hungary before, let’s do it, I will plan one week holiday + Coldplay concert = amazing! enter the website from my phone, eeeehhmm….. where is translate button? Which one to click? Damn! I’m thinking I’m thinking I’m thinking, who is the Hungarian I know?
Aron! I have never talk to him in Shanghai, we only know each other from face, yet here I am randomly messaging him on Facebook, searched him on Instagram, wrote a very long messages hoping he is online at that very hour. Guess what, he did! HA! The universe want to make it up to me, until it’s not, the Hungary line is paused, there is additional date blablabla. I was so busy, have many tabs with different dates for Düsseldorf on the laptop, Budapest on my phone while taking screenshot to Aron asking what the hell is this, asking Louis or Ann how did they get their tickets. I hope no one will call me on my phone asking for work as I have other priority at the moment.
2,5 hours goes by until it was my turn, I only got 15 Minutes to seal it. I chose standing tickets on different dates, can’t get it. Gave up, just get me one. wherever. I didn’t even know which dates, one thing I know it will be in Düsseldorf as the one in Hungary is paused anyway, I’m fine with whenever.
In total it took me about 6,5 hours to get it! Wohoooo! I still didn’t check where I sit, it doesn’t matter anymore! Got my priorities straight this time 🙂
Next year will be my first experience being in a concert ever!! No matter how I get the tickets, scams or not, I’ll enjoy it!
One thing I take from this buying ticket experience is “patience is virtue” if you don’t get it there is still 365 days to go, for sure someone will cancel or sell their tickets #regretful wise talking
