Raise The Bar July

Spoiler: Einfach Joy <3 🙂

After more than a decade together, 2x my sister and Dominic had to postponed their wedding both in Indonesia and Australia, mittlerweile they use the so-called “waiting time” to buy their first home in Canberra and it’s just appeared that there is no reason to wait any longer.

Corona is not yet over, border AU is not yet opened but one thing we know is zoom-meeting is getting too mainstream, they need to raise the bar to zoom-wedding! Of course this is such a Pech situation especially for my parents thinking that my sister is their first daughter and they couldn’t be there and I won’t be the bridesmaid huhu 🙁 okay enough with the nonesense drama… bottom line is there is absolute no sense for them to postponed it again, so let’s follow Nike’s slogan: Just do it!

Invitation and itinerary being sent! Here it is!

15:00 Meet and (not) greet 🙂 because the Host muted us but if they had not gosh… I can’t believe how loud we will be

To my surprise, I have no idea that there will be many people that goes online. I thought it will be just family and ofc I don’t expect only my family for sure there will be the Germans too but there’s also a lot of my father’s friends!

15:30-16:00 The moment we’ve waiting for is here right before our eyes, or should I say right before our monitor 😉

My sister is a very talented MUA, look at her make up and hair style she did it herself! I mean how on earth?! Yes, I know now when my time to get married, I won’t need anyone else, only her by my side 😀

And here is my sissy!

Me and my parents were so touched by the speech that Dom made for us <3 you earned our blessing from day one. We were very happy when the marriage celebrant pronounce you as Husband and Wife, you may kiss the bride 🙂

16:00-16:10 Congratulations! You are legally married!

16:10-16:40 Snaps snaps! for the instagram yo 😉

Since their house is really big and I meant really really big! They don’t need to find a garden or forest to do the photoshoot, simply go to their backyard and there you find your spots!

Among all the photo that they took, this is my favourite one!

Because they are eingesperrt in the gate!

And parents need to be involved too!

And friends? Yes them too!

How about siblings? Heyyyy!?!? oh nobody give a §#!t about it, it’s okay though, we have our own way, no pictures needed because we are cooler than that and we already documented our moments before they even started 😉

16:40-17:00 Back to the party, Priority please!

Me and my sister really love our late-Opah so much and I was so happy when Opa also involved in the wedding. Here is the letter that Opa typed on his typewriting machine to Dom 10 years ago. I didn’t even know Opa typed it, let alone Dom received it and not to my knowledge that he kept it and put it to frame. I am sure Opa will be so proud T.T They put the letter right on top of the piano, Opa really likes to hear (yes people, Opa didn’t play piano) when any of his grandchildren played piano.

They back to cut the Tumpeng which is our traditional rice for celebrations, birthday, house warming, wedding or just anything that you want to celebrate and they have the really unique cake. I mean father-in-law Horst is really the best, their cake is sooooo longgggg. I like it! #Marlynsapproved! I demand the same cake when I touch down Australia 😉

My sister is a dancer too! a traditional Indonesian dancer which is her first dance then 🙂 dancing in white.

It was nice seeing lovely people surrounded my sister there <3 and I know she’s also sad the fact that her own family is not there with her but she knows for sure we celebrate it in our hearts wherever we are so don’t worry Wawa 🙂 This is your moment and you absolutely shone!

The chat room were very active but I only able to capture really little of it but you basicly know what they said 🙂

Father-in-law Horst also made a compilation video (with my help as the photos collector certainly) and it was such a good time to close the zoom-wedding.

Here it once again, from the bottom of my heart, I am very happy 🙂

In sickness, in health and in pandemic #domkatwed
