Fiesta fiesta fiesta fiesta! This is how I feel about my December, not only fiesta in terms of party but really FIESTAAAAA, celebrating the life of yourselves first #obviously, so much so that you are able to appreciate more of others. A one split second event- literally what it took for this real FIESTAAA <3
Begin my fiesta with:
Finale episodes of La Casa De Papel! my oh my it’s a damn and OMG at the same time! I watched it in one go also repeated it for 10 thousands time keine Ahnung, kann nicht mehr zählen! I am searching for the poster who must involves my favourites: El Professor, Berlin, Denver, Estocolmo and Tokio. However I also want a complete one, except it was so hard because Oslo died too early and Pamplona appears too late rrrgghhh. Therefore no poster atm…nope nope nope, nothing can stop me from paying a tribute to the best TV series for 30 years of my life, I decided to frame my LCDP shirt as it will be wore out pretty soon, Death Can Be The Greatest Opportunity Of Your (read: my shirts) Life # Berlin 😉
Julia and Moritz wedding! I went to the ‘congratulations’ ceremony. I do feel the wedding is soooo intimate in a very very nice way, they both look so happy along with so in love <3 for some reason I felt a tear almost drop when I saw Julia in white walking towards the humans bridge with us holding stick firecracker thingy and tennis racket. I know it sounds bizarre how can those two put together yet it kind a work 😀 I’m so happy for them.
Next is for the first time in pandemic year, Christmas market still on going 🙂 I go there almost every other day, for sure every week, don’t have a specific reason aside from it located in the city center plus it’s only 20 mins walking from my home.
Radite came to visit me on one weekend, thanks God Dortmund didn’t cancel their Christmas market otherwise we really have no attraction here hahaha. We had an early Christmas dinner where it is far from European style or Christmassy style, rather it’s a street food!!! Exactly what I wanted! I miss the meatball soup and noodles in a street food style soooo much! Honestly the taste is not 100 % similar due to the very obvious reason, we don’t have all ingredients here, still it’s close enough 🙂
I got my booster-Impfung! after some extent of research which klinik would give me BionTech as they preferred to give it for under 30yo or pregnant. Na ja, I’m not both….. I need to face rejection….again, last time I couldn’t get AstraZeneca considering I’m not 30 yet, now I can’t get BionTech because I’m over 30…. life oh life…. At last, I got it….fiuhhh
The big day of this month, Christmas celebration! Claudia and Julius invited me again. Once they do it, it become forever, a new law has just been formed 😀 Since all of us were geboostered und getestet, I could celebrate with them for 3 days in a row! Christmas eve, first and second Christmas! my stomach is ready for all good fooooooodddddd #drooling!
On the 24th mid-day Claudia and Julius became a Santa Klaus, they put some sweets into their friends home around Bochum or other cities in Ruhr gebiet.
To my surprise, in the middle of the road (well, thanks to Vishnu it’s a sidewalk) I met with Onur! Was very very very happy to see him again after a year whoaaa we were so surprised. I saw him from distance hmmm…. where are we exactly? Bochum? big possibility it’s him!
For dinner we had the very traditional Kartoffelsalat mit Wurst! Achtung…. when you see many people had a fancy dinner on Christmas Eve, you know they aren’t German 😉
Christmas day started with me woken up jumping happily cause it started to snow, followed with calling up my parents and my sister, we need to call only at 12 PM German Time = 18 PM Indonesian Time = 22 PM Australian Time.
Spend the afternoon decorating our will be dining table for Raclette, put the presents under the Christmas tree. Übrigens, when I said decoration, people, the Germans do take it to another level! Not only on top of the table got finely “dressed” the bottom part of the table, bzw, chairs leg also got some socks! How adorable it is!
It was such a very lovely evening, aside from talking about the Raclette, soup or dessert, I got to know Claudia and Julius’ parents. They treat me nice and always involving me in every conversation, I’m not sure if they understand that I might not thoroughly understand them mwahaha #facepalm. I’m so glad for the evening, they really sehr gut gemacht!
Second Christmas, Claudias best friend Alina came for breakfast and stayed with us for a while. Then came the moment that none of us who were there will ever forget. I’m talking especially for Alina, Claudia and Julius. For me, that specific moment changed my perspective about the real meaning of fiesta because people, hör mal, it only a matter of split second something can change…. for the worst… #true story.
Here is the sequence of how it happened:
Embrace it…. get ready…. I burnt my hair. Yes, regardless of how much I don’t want to believe it, moment of truth came, I was so close to burn my face had I not fast enough to put out the fire on my hair with my hands.
Here is the complete story: I wanted to see picture of Alina’s from her phone. She was sitting across me with Claudia, Julius was sitting next to me. I lean forward, next thing I know my hair got into one of the candle. Three of them were screaming and jumping from the sofa, I didn’t see any flame, though I heard “ssssttttkkkkkk” noise, I didn’t know where it came from nor I smell or see something, be that as it may, my reflect was clapped both of my hand to my hair. I didn’t feel any hotness what so ever…atm… I still not aware of the dangerous I faced with other than seeing they were all in shock, Julius bring me to the bathroom, comb my hair and said “you were only a cm away from burning your ear and cheek”
We came out from the bathroom, I still couldn’t grasp it until few minutes later, I smell burnt everywhere, on my hair, my puli sogar on the living room. Then I felt the area on my left jaw warmer…. I asked Julius if something wrong with my skin, he said he didn’t see any redness but it is very possible that my facial hair caught the flame, Claudia gave me some cream they only have there.
Few minutes following, we can talk and laugh about it especially if it really went bad how can we explained it to the German insurance or to tell Stefan the reason of why I couldn’t go back to office. That very very split second was really a shocking moment for all of us. They saw the flame in less than one second could go up very fast and I was the person who experienced it.
I almost lost of words to describe how I feel other than I am a person with a big luck surrounding me, I’m a cm away from having what could be my worst silly “accident”. PS = My hair is fine btw, I still have many übrig 😀
Life is worth celebrating, never have I ever understand more the meaning of “every second counts”.
To close this mixed moments of shock and relief, I had a very wonderful dinner made by Claudias Papa! Reinhard the Chef! Ente! like father like daughter, now I know from where Claudia got very total with Christmas dinner preparation, table decorated, candle #nooo stay away, appetizer, main couse, dessert yuuummm noom noom noom 😉
As if all of those fiesta are not enough, I received many Christmas gift too! No matter how old I am, I always like it 😀 Those chocolates won’t be an issue, the issue is more for the wine…hmm… I got one year to finish it… ich glaube, schaffe ich das….oder nicht? wer weiß 🙂
Recall from what had just happened… remember #with the tone of Mufasa saying to Simba, your life is here, every seconds you live is a FIESTAAAAA!! enjoy it… until the partys over 😉
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year beautiful people XOXO 😉
