Shanghai was the host of F1 race on 13-14th April and Thomas asked me since March if I interested to watch F1 and of course I am! Honestly I’m more interested to watch motoGP but since Shanghai doesn’t have the track for motoGP then F1 is fine too 🙂
We bought the ticket since March but the ticket from the official website already sold out so what’s to do then? Then Thomas hit on Taobao! haha what can’t we buy there 😉 with the help of Nora we could buy our ticket only 100 RMB more expensive but it doesn’t matter.
I asked him who should we support? He said Sebastian Vettel! I said “Wow! is it because you’re half German?” and he said “No, because Ferrari should win” haha! So there we are, me, Thomas and his other Italian friends all supported Sebastian Vettel because of Ferrari 🙂
Thomas was there during the qualification which is on 13th April and there was a lot of Vettel fans out there 🙂
Then 14th April arrived, the race itself started at 2PM, I asked Thomas what time should we meet and he said 11AM, I was wow it’s so early and he said yes it has to be because the location is far away and he just want to be there early haha. We met at Jiaotong University metro wagon no 20 both of us were there but we don’t see each other and turned out Thomas was waiting on the other direction, towards Disney land damn it! haha and then Joe also arrived so we all sets to the Circuit! The place is sooo big, I mean, of course it’s a circuit it has to be big! haha
They also have many games around like change the tyre, drive the car, we wanted to do that but in order to do it we need to go to the Alfa Romeo stand which is on the other way around to register and came back and we were “meh! too much trouble” haha
Then we met Frankye, he ordered 18 beers directly mwahaha and we went up to our seat (read: grass) and we sat on the corner so we can see all the cars will go slower (due to its on the corner) and they all went crazy when they saw number 5 and 16 due to it’s Ferrari car but they also went crazier when Alfa Romeo car drove by 😉
At some point, Frankye and Thomas’ legs stop functioning due to European doesn’t get used to sitting like that on the grass haha I was just laughing. Frankye attached microscope, telescope whatever it called to his phone but Thomas got more professional camera with a lens, he took it very seriously! 😉 and here’s the cool pictures from him.
One and a half hour later, Lewis Hamilton was the winner and our Sebastian Vettel was on the 3rd place. Not bad but Thomas said this is the 7th time I watched F1 and Ferrari never win! I think I won’t watch it again next year hahaha
Once the race finished, I checked my phone and I found Tessa was there too! She was on the VIP section wooooooo 土豪 haha so then I texted her and to my surprise she’s got a lot of cakes! and she gave it to me! she also gave me burgers wohoooo this is the best! Thank you Tessa! I shared the cakes with the guys though but the burger, meh! I ate it by myself haha
While I was with Tessa, the guys found a group of Vettel fans and they just joined the march haha so funny!
I have no idea how many times they marched I guess they passed me by 2 or 3 times but due to I was eating with Tessa so I didn’t really pay attention. They even yelled “Sebastian, Sebastian, go, go, go, go. Vettel, Vettel go, go, go” Frankye was so in on this haha
I also got the flag from them 🙂 but gave it to Frankye as he is more Vettel’s fans or rather Ferrari fans than me haha. I also saw some supporters which is very funny, they have their own jackets with some funny logo.
Well, I think it was a good race even though Vettel didn’t get the first place but for sure I had fun 🙂 Thanks Thomas for asking me on the first place 😉
