This TV Series in HBO or can’t even remember what the TV Chanel called, was the funniest according to Sissy and I. Yes, we watched it on TV about 17 years ago, you will see how IT changes within that time span.
This sentence was never failed to put a laugh on us. The whole series was about an unrecognizable department (read: IT) in whole company.
Nowadays we can’t, cannot, unable to can to live without our IT.
My best Freundin aka Claudia, she got our IT colleague number drilled on her core memory. Anything, literally any little thing from setting up iPad for our GBL people, changing private phone to no toner in the printer, she direcly called his Durchwahl. The whole employee has the same opinion about him, he is such a Goldwert!
One day I was at Claudia’s home, we were talking about new phone. Julius asked me “How is your iPhone battery” Mind you I use XS, no doubt referring to how it runs quickly. Claudia said “Po Kei can change it, he’s done it for NW so many times” What?!?! a very good news indeed!
Not long after, I clicked a wrong website where viruses came to my laptop. Oh no, why would everything goes wrong -_- I was scared to even open a browser due to unstoppable notification caused me not be able to click anything. No matter how many times I clicked X it keeps coming. Panicked!
My necessity of calling him is getting higher than before, suddenly these two things become my first priority. He was relaxed saying “Yes I can do it, I will buy the new battery for your iPhone and just bring your laptop”
Showed him my laptop, two hours later, its healed! He returned it spotless, the first time I saw it on this condition was 8 years ago when I bought it. Word “surprised” didn’t do the justice 🙂
One down, one more to go. On the weekend where my battery arrived, I went to his place. To me he can be a Japanese surgeon due to all parts from iPhone are extremely tiny. It was quiet a challenge to remove the glue from the battery, he need to use his wife hair dryer haha. In the end he always make it, we do some test: volume, video, charging, all safe #Amazing.
While he’s on the operation mode, I saw things I never seen before. I was in awe at the same time confused on how can he put everything back in.
Po Kei, you are unbelievable! Thank you for healing my two important devices! Trust me, the IT department is no more “Hello IT, have you tried to turn it off and on again?” It is the backbone of a company!
