Show Time November

For the past 2 months I have started a new sport which is Pole Dance 🙂 they already did their soft opening but for grand opening they just did it on 3rd Nov. Johanna ask if any students want to perform and I was “hell yeah” but this was on Sept when she made the announcement and the original plan of the grand opening was on the end of Oct. And I just learned it for 1 month and another month for the opening minus the October holiday, I was quiet worried that I won’t be able to make the performance due to lack of practice but thanks God she moved the grand opening to one week later so we had additional time to practice.

We increase the amount of practice by 2 times a week. There were one time where me and JJ had our own class plus performance practice class one after the other and we were exhausted! Haha never again, that was a mistake 😉 With more practice I became more confident that I can finish the choreo so I started to let my friends know about this grand opening 😉 and most important, I need to have photographer for this because there will be only one grand opening yo! And Daniel again in charge of the picture…. Oppss I mean my picture haha I’ve told him that he can only take pics of me and my team but for the others meh! Leave it hahaha 😉 #noooo just kidding!

At first he said he wasn’t so sure because he also have Bachata event that last for 3 days and he was in charge of taking pictures but after I told him I’m only dancing for 3 mins and then he can rush back to his event and he agreed with that. Yeay! So people, the reason why he wasn’t at the studio before and after my dance is because this Bachata events and not because of what I’ve told him 😉

When it was one day before, we had another rehearsal and there were table etc on the studio and I started to get a bit nervous like “this is happening!”

On the day, we all arrived before 5pm and have our stuff all over the studio and Johanna asked us to move all the stuff outside to the rooftop, good that we don’t have rain otherwise….. hahaha she was like “everything here need to be out, NOW” and the students of Zero Gravity started to come, the bar was open, there are foods, me and Amy had some breads and carrots and some stuff 😉

By the time its almost 6pm, I was very happy to see Marina that came to the studio after she walked Khan, my homie Darren and the other Marina, Kate and roomie-John plus Irina, Cher and Aaron, Thorben and Gordy that rushed from archery coming to the studio by bike, followed by Andy and Nicolas and of course the photographer Daniel, and later on Silvia.

Daniel had a task on finding the correct spot to capture the picture, I meant THE picture. I checked with him if he got the spot, once he said he got it, I was relieved 😉

Thank you so much guys for being so Germans and all of you arrived just like what I instructed which is before 6pm 😉 I was genuinely happy to see all of you but then I got nervous if I perform in front of the audience that I know because “$h!t I have my friends here watching me, I need to perform well!”

Here is our complete performance on the video 🙂

I am very happy with my group, thank you Johanna for putting me under Marina (yes, the other Marina) together with my cool teammates. Thank you JJ for being such a team player, finding the perfect outfit that we all like and buying last minute glitter, Chausa for brutally honest, Alice for being so crafty and giving me the inside joke that we JUST need it somehow. I am so glad that I can team up with all you girls. Thank you Marina for letting us to choose the choreo and took away your spare time to teach us.

There were 20 students performing and peepss, taking group picture is such a hussle 😉

Johanna, I am glad that you came to Shanghai and opened Zero Gravity. Thanks to all instructors that has taught me, Johanna, Katya, Marina, Kaley, Tai, see you on the next class 😉

Gooooo Pole!!
