Endless Stairs July

I am so happy that I got another opportunity to visit Taipei, this time I make sure that I can meet my high school bestie- Sindy! After probably 5+ years we haven’t met haha

We need to catch up with the Gossip!

I visited Taipei already back then so mostly I’ve been to the must go attractions, therefore I looked for an advise from Tammy and she recommended me to go to Elephant mountain 象山 and Yong Kang Street 永康街. The way she explained 象山 sounds an easy mountain to climb and its located also in downtown next to Taipei 101 metro station so I said to Sindy that I want to go there.

I took the high speed train from Taichung to Taipei, when I arrived at the Taipei Main Station this station is sooo big and it took me a while to find the first floor, I was lost on their basement floor.

What funny is on the first floor, they called it station hall there are no bench or stairs so everyone just sitting on the floor haha

Then Sindy came to pick me up and we had lunch in the main station and we need to try the happening bubble tea in Taiwan called 幸福糖, my stomach usually doesn’t work with any bubble tea drink here in Shanghai but with 幸福糖 I have no issue!

After filling ourselves with lunch and sugar we went to 象山. I really can’t wait and also curious about this 象山 and I think it’s such a funny name, Elephant mountains, it should be a cute mountains 😉 When we get off from the metro, there was a sign everywhere about this mountain so we won’t get lost besides it’s only one way- way haha

Before we went there, Geary told me to take care of Sindy because she doesn’t like stairs. I don’t understand it at first until Sindy said “its full of stairs until up there” and I still don’t get it, I thought “yeah ok stairs” and when we were there…. all I see was STAIRS! like endless stairs!

From the internet its written its only 650m distance and many people finished it within 30mins and blablabla so I think I should be able to do it like easy peasy 😉

But no! No-No-No it’s a No-Go! I was really tired, I needed to stop for like 15mins and it was in the afternoon so the sun was quiet strong for a while…pfff tired and sweating

I took picture of the map of 象山 and I kept counting if we arrived the point of attraction that was written on the map or not yet. And I kept saying yeay we passed the first one, second one etc.

The famous photography point is called Six Giant Rocks. I was so glad and happy to finally able to reach this point and the sun also cooperated with us, it didn’t shine that strong like before. Good job, Sun! Thumbs up 🙂

There is a special rocks that kind of a must to take pic there. I like the way that we are waiting to take picture on top of the rocks like everyone is waiting in the line so there was no chaos.

On the way back we also stopped by to take more pictures, I mean its exhausting to go up so I need to reward myself by taking more pictures 😉

After we climbed down from 象山 we need another supply of sugar and here we go to 永康街!we need to have the mango ice and this mango ice need to be the one that recommended by CNN hahaha

But that’s not enough we still need to have some food and I really want to eat 担仔面 but I forgot to take the pic of the 面 haha it reminded me of the food back home that’s why I like it 😉

This place is such a place for leisure walk, they have unique shops around and I did some shopping as well 😉

Then we went home and for the next day we had breakfast near Sindy’s home, a hash-brown egg pie with a very delicious 酱油膏 and cold soya milk.

For lunch in the famous A Ying Braised Pork, the place is sooo freaking small only like 5 tables but I like the food so so sooo much!

Thank you Sindy for having some time to meet me and Geary as well! So happy for both of you, wish everything going smooth for your wedding next year and have a blessed family <3
