Phone

As we all are well equipped with Smartphones, we are familiar that our phone create memories using Photos available in your Gallery. It is a pleasant felling to know your friend’s phone made a collection of your own photos.

From Julia, it was a mix between work & pleasure located in Shanghai and Germany. Preserving memories from our Saturday’s habit at our no longer existed place-Zapatas 🙁 The controversial M1NT Club with its shark tank entrance to which I remember Thorben was so against it.

Apropos Thorben, second video was from his phone, displayed mostly pleasure, in form of delicacies #Yum! nom nom… or parties 😉 located in Shanghai and my hometown.

It’s enjoyable to be reminded of the past times; what did you do, ate, happened to you, your whereabouts.

Tausend Dank for still having my pictures in your phone!

Not the New Kid on the Block

  • Mamaaaaaaa, oooohhhh. I don’t want to die, sometime I wish I’d never been born at all…. Carry on, carry on…
  • Love of my life, you’ve hurt me… you’ve broken my heart and now you leave me… love of my life, can’t you see? bring it back, bring it back…
  • All we hear is radio gaga, radio goo goo, radio ga ga… Radio what’s new? Someone still loves you

I am talking about none others, the legend Freddie Mercury! We got an optional tour to go to Montreux, hell yeah hello Queen Mercury!

There were another group before us, consequently, it took some time until the statue was empty. Once it does, we didn’t waste a bit 🙂 Group photoooo, in order to do a selfie, Joe need to come forward put his arm on the lake area, as you can see I was very ‘merinding disko’.

Still in the memory of the legend, went to the Queen-Studio Experience.

Look at how serene Montrex is, no wonder Freddie spent some time here to recharge from his busy life, it is 有山有水.

Then we visited Bern to beautiful Aare River again, the very unfortunate event side for all Indonesian citizen. In this side is the late son of Bandung’s governor got swept out by the current #Rest in Peace

As usual, city center area, however we didn’t visit any churches, rather Swiss bank #Fulus 😉 We tried the allegedly famous chocolate shop, some says its the best blablabla for me its just normal.

Guess what? we went to Germany too! what an experience of passing the custom via bus. Jo tell a very weird legend about Titisee, a kid being transported by Burung Bangao ~ like in Dumbo movie. Out of nowhere, came water to which it became a lake. I heard it like Hä? what kind of a story were you telling me???

We went to Schwarzwald not for hiking, sort of to buy a Kuckucksuhr. We were explained about the history, how to make it by an Indonesian seller. Right after the explanation, mother wants to have not only the Kuckucksuhr, but also the Magnet for her collection. Pass auf, she took out the magnet from the display and walked through the Kasse, only for a lady on a mask to snap it out of her, unpolite saying in English “You need to talk to my colleague about it” walk away, put the magnet back to the display.

I was behind my mother ofc I can understand her but there was no time to react. I can read the room, she will take the new one from the storage. After some time, she didn’t come back, I asked the other guy to get the magnet for us. He came back quicker than her. All 3 of us were in the Cashier. Like the way she appears was out of the blue, so does the way she reapperas, spoke to him in Chinese asking “Oh you already take it for her? then I don’t need to take it”

Leute, it was my time to shine, I was for sure having metamorphosis process, articulate my loud and clear opinion in Chinese “you didn’t tell you will get us that, besides we wait for you for a long time, you should have inform me at least and not just go away without telling anything” to her defense “but I did tell” I cut her sentence “No you didn’t, you only told my mother ‘she should have speak to your colleague’, none about whether you will grab it for us” Oh Lady, you think I am the new kid on the block who’s afraid to talk back? watch out, I was 7 years in your homeland! #Feel proud of myself.

Right after mother got what she wants, we went to eat. A piece of black forest cake is a must! as this is her favorite cakes. Same thing, according to her it’s very good, to me it’s only mehhh… She even had another one to take it away.

I genuinely quiet confused when I got it because the black forest cake is not….black?….hmmm…

As if all previous 水 not enough, here is the final 水 ~ Schaffhausen. Back to Switzerlandia.

Harry, Is That You?

Me and Erin first discover this place because we were in the city center earlier than we planned. Lead us to still have some time before my hair cut, we came into a Library, a National Library of Stockholm to be exact. We thought we need to pay to enter, we muss not, just hang our clothes and bring in nothing. Guess what? this place is amazing!!!!

They have an exhibition about…. very controversial topic: The Devil’s Bible! Obviously we have to take a look of it.

Time’s up! Need to checked out for my saloon appointment. I will return, now it is my go-to place! Imagine studying in this kind of environment, brooooooooo!!! take me out! I want to be a student again!

Next day, precisely when I came back to Estocolmo from Vaxholm, I will meet Syuke for dinner after he finish work caused me to have some time to wait, where? obviously the National Library of Stockholm! I explore more of this library 🙂 they do have an old book like 300 years old book, the one that I even afraid to touch it. Oh I found one! as I am aging in Stockholm, found a book about women and aging haha

I really feel like I’m on the Library of Hogwarts! Harry, is that you? Nope, but I could be Draco Marfoy 😉 #Team Slytherin #After all this time, Always

Old Habits

They have been talking, at the same time I have been hearing about Stockholm Archipelago, island hopping. I was confused with “island hopping”? we are not in Thailand…. Anyway, I looked at the map, consult with Erin, made up my mind to go to at least one of their island. Decided to choose the one with bearable distance: Vaxholm, about 40-50 minutes on the boat, I can handle those!

The website showed all tickets were sold out which I don’t believe it for a second…. how? it wasn’t any high season, on top of that, I did read in the advertisement near the Port something along the rhyme “departs every day” well…. how can I depart every day if their website doesn’t allow me to?! Back to basic, went to the counter to booked a ticket there. She gave me a map of Vaxholm, take a look of it, put it back to my bag, make sure I’ll carry it as I thought “OK this is what I can see, it’s quiet big lalala”

The day came, there were so many people queuing on the line for the boat, I asked some people if they will go to Vaxholm too? some answers were no…. what is going on… I felt relief after they scanned my ticket and said “You are on the right place” Yais! off we go!

Right after the boat departs, the “tour guide” ask if we want to sit outside before she announced it to the whole people through microphone. As a result, many people were sitting outside on the deck of the boat, I was like “why” I know it was relative warm for end of September in Stockholm but still you are surrounded by water yo, the breeze air, fresh water, possibility you will got splashed etc still exist! I am comfortable inside the boat #Ain’t gonna move my ass.

Indeed she was our “tour guide”, she explains some history of the island in English and Swedish followed by this kind of sentence “on the right hand side you will see, now we are on Number 1 it is a lalalala” I didn’t really pay attention, I don’t even know where the number she was talking about coming from….. until it clicked that the map the counter lady given was NOT map of Vaxholm but rather a map on the way to Vaxholm! #You stupid! By the time I realized it I missed so much points already hahaha Makes matter worse, it’s written on the map “Sights along the route” #Clever ball

Time to move on to one hour later, which means Vaxholm’s people reach their destination. It was quiet a lot of people actually, I just asked the wrong one 😉 I have 3 hours 15 minutes in this island, set alarm on my phone. Let’s see what I can explore, is it enough though? Yes it does! There was a very nice lady who showed the way of which I can go. I searched a path that looks like a private property except it wasn’t #Her instruction. Found it, it is somehow quiet peace, many people had a small picnic or tanning. I ain’t gonna do that!

What’s on the opposite side? apart from…. the same water 😀 haha I saw a very cute Briefkasten! #Very creative. It was so funny because there are quiet some people off from the board. Supported with the fact that Vaxholm isn’t that big, I kept meeting them while walking yet I didn’t say hi haha I deliberately wait until they left to take picture or wait for another strangers to help take a photo of me hihihi

It can’t be it right? OK this side is done, let’s move to the other, the “land” side. There are big houses, church with graveyard. Back to the water side once I see a “highway” road leads to another island… #Supposedly

Like 20 minutes before picking up by the boat, I somehow “discover” another part of Vaxholm, how the hell did I miss this kind of “city center” hahaha I found a chess statues like when I was small with my sissy in front of a hotel. I thought it was only one so it was kind of special to me, only to realize it’s not #Face palm there are lots of it! pfff why did I take pic -_-

The boat are back, we got picked up obviously with the same boat crew again meaning she continued to explained this number that number and I am back again to not learned the lesson haha #Too tired already!

Old habits are hard to crack hey! I’ll show some improvement on my span of attention ab und zu 😉

I’ve been to one of the island Stockholm has! #Checked 🙂

Pay Attention

After more than 3 hours walking on the walking tour, I befriended with a German lady named Lisa. We both not only hungrrryyyyy but also wanting to peeeee hahaha In Stockholm, a free public toilet is almost nonexist, you must pay…with card… honestly speaking, it’s only 5 SEK (0.50 Cents) however it’s annoyed my Asian genes 😉 I’d rather be in a café having Fika and use the facilities there #See my logic.

Moving on to the more interesting theme, eating! We had our lunch in a very cute place which looks like unfinished building. Right after, we went to Vasa Museum via boat.

My smart ass thought I can walk or be inside the ship without thinking that this damn ship is very fragile plus still under continuous renovation, restoration, preservation bli bla blub haha

Once we got in, the ship is directly there, displayed to our naked eyes in his own majestic way. It still indeed have some smell, oceans smell? I don’t know, can’t describe it. For today’s size, I have to say it’s small or rather very small. However, we were talking about year 1626 when they started to built it, it was for sure the biggest ship ever existed. Very “Jumawa” of Gustav II #QQ reference.

Started the visit of the Museum from the bottom floor only to be wowed by it, look at all what engraved there! It is crazy thinking it took them only 2 years to built it!

Although there is actually nothing other than this Ship, you won’t feel bored, all the displayed were very engaging. I really paid attention to every info written there.

They have a 17 minutes film about Vasa in many different languages or a 25 minutes film for child, tell the same story with different illustrations.

FYI, we both watch the adult version too.

They laid each floor with different facts, despite finding 13 skeletons, they suspect the number should reached 40. Well, it wasn’t sail too far to begin with so people could still jump and save themselves. The people who couldn’t run away was the one who stuck between the cannon, such a painful and slow death, I’m very sorry for them. Surprisingly, there wasn’t any people held accountable for this accident.

We decided to go to the 7th floor to see the ornaments on the ship that they managed to restore. In my view, the ornaments decorations was too colorful haha red, gold and bunch of other different color. For sure it will looks “shining” in the middle of the ocean but what purpose does it serve? to scare the enemies or to make you an easy target? hmmmm #Deep thinking

We went back to the lower floor then Lisa passed into a German guided tour, she said to me “they are German, we can hear what they say” haha but the tour guide explained what we already read #We were faster!

They have the model of the ship with ratio 1:10. See how colorful it would have been, had it made it to the sail, we might not have the Museum #Either or 😉

We stayed until the Museum closed, oh yeah they made sure we got out of the gift shop by closing the door so no one could get in anymore.

Left Vasa Museum satisfied 🙂 This museum is a very must go! either you’re a Pirates of The Caribbean fans yohooo yohoo or not, you can’t never miss it. Entrance ticket is not so expensive, around 16 Euro.

Then we went to the city just to have a Fika at Under Kastanjen (under the Chesnut Tree) I need sugar!! Carrot cake to the rescue! Especially after the tension when we realized we might have taken the wrong direction’s boat haha We closed the day with walk around the city.

Thank you Lisa! Very happy to meet you! 😀

Lesson Learned

I do have a learning curve hey…. directly applied it when I do another walking tour in Stockholm, accepted that my memory is faded as time goes by, hence I type type type everything our guide said 🙂

The meeting point is on Monument Gustavus Adolphus or King Gustav II. She said there will be many Kings in Estocolmo with the name Gustav.

What was so special about King Gustav II? He was very success in military battlefield, well known either as “Captain of Military History” or “The Father of Combined Arms Warfare. Not gonna doubt his ability… doch! have to doubt it 😉

He too, was a keen artillerist, saw the potential of ships as gun platforms, gave the order to private entrepreneur to built one of the most powerful armed vessels in the world with richly decorated as a symbol of his ambitions for Sweden and himself. He ordered a series of ships with two full gundecks, outfitted with much heavier guns. It was named The Vasa (or Wasa) Ship.

The making of Vasa took 2 years. Did it work? Was the ship actually sailed? Yes it was! Was it a smooth sail? For 120m before it started to swiftly sank to a depth of 32m. It’s officially out of sight after sailing roughly 1300m into her maiden voyage on 10th of August 1628. Just like that, the Great Vasa sank to the bottom of the ocean in full view of a crowds who had come to see the ship set sail. The crowd included foreign ambassadors, in effect spies of King Gustav II’s allies and enemies. He witnessed his most pride ship sank in 20 minutes. It was sink for 333 years before a team pull it up to put it into the museum. Next thing he was famous for is trying to kill the Germans alone, he failed btw. Which lead us to Gustav III.

Turn around to see the Opera behind you. Gustav III also special person, genes runs in the family. He really likes to party, yet as a King he need to be somewhat protected, we can’t afford losing another Gustav again. Did we? Tragically yes, he died doing what he likes most. He held a Masquerade Ball only to got shot on his left hip by Jacob Johan Anckarström, to which he was sentenced to death and executed. Gustav III was the only king who saw his own assassins’. It is being said that his outfit with a bullet on it or the Assassins’ one are stored in The Royal Armoury. Spoiler about the assassins’ masked, it’s like someone who wears a paper mask.

Leave the monument Gustav II, walk straight to the bridge, turn your head to the right, the Ministry of Finance building. There is a Valkyries without her sword. 4 people below her represents the Swedish society: Nobility, Church, Merchants and Farmers. There are many speculation of what is the meaning of the 3 crowns. It could be representative of 3 Magi who came to visit the birth of Jesus. Nevertheless, nobody can confirm it, they just left it for mystery or open suggestions 😉 #I think.

When the Danish took the 3 crown symbol, Swedish drop it for 333 years, the same exact length as the Vasa was under water #Coincidence or conspiracy theory? Yet, its now serve as a symbol of both countries. Lions symbol associated with a royal family or some kind of royalty.

On the end of the road is the Parliament. There is a tunnel underneath the bridge made out of “glass” didn’t see it no matter how much I concentrated or squinted my eyes, write me if you can find it. Some people who were able to see it said wasn’t really a full glass. The little crown in the middle of Swedish flag meaning the king is there. Yep, backlight, can’t see it from the picture but it was indeed there.

Funny faces on the facade was based on real people, the sculpture asked some people who works in the Ministry if they allowed him to make a statue of his face to put it on the wall. Little did they know know, the sculpture wasn’t planning on engraved a real face rather emphasis some characteristic they have, at the end he was being asked to stop doing it. They also have changing the guard scene on the Parliament area every day at 12:15 but on that day we can’t go through it as they were filming a demonstration scene hihihi

The OG Idea of Stockholm City Hall to be called a Blue City Hall to represents the blue sky, it would have been a gradation of blue color. However, on the making, he falls in love with the red color of the brick, that’s why its a Red City Hall now 🙂 He waited purposefully until the Denmark’s City Hall finished only for him to made his’ 40 cm taller than the Danish one. Put the 3 crowns facing Copenhagen as a slap in the face showing “We have a bigger tower”

Chair is definitely not a part of the sculpture. We are in fact in the area of Stockholm’s WG for the Parliament people.

The condition is not that prima, 3 people in a WG with private bathroom. They shared the common area like kitchen and living room. They’re geographically grouped, consequently, one could be in one WG with his opponent. I mean…. I don’t even want to leave in a WG when I reached 29 years old….the reason behind is to show how open and fair Sweden is. Another fun facts that I managed to wrote half of it, if we see a phone booth with red green and something color, it is a direct call to the Parliament.

They said you can have a “basic” information from hitter.si. How basic is this basic? Not basic at all: name, address, tax return, closest body to water haha are you planning a Dexter move? #Orphan Black reference.

The Swedish likes to put “Sustainability” in every word from make sense to having less sense like Sustainability Bridge blablabla in order to prove their sustainability, they have a public washing machine in every apartment building 🙂 I can confirm that, Erin doesn’t have the Anschluss at her place. They need to booked a time slot to do it, each round is 3 hours. It’s very common excuse in Sweden “sorry, can’t go out, I have to do my laundry”

We stopped at a candy shop because our guide needs to rest her voice, at the same time we can get a sample candy hihihi. She said the real candy cane is straight, but USA put a hook into it to what candy cane we know.

Around that candy shop we saw a Valkyrie symbol with sword. We also walked through the so called “narrow” street which is not narrow at all for some luck or so. There was a statue named Engelen…. something? I tried to surf for him more but couldn’t get more information…. anyhow, I am sure our guide said he was the one who successfully (there were many tried before him to no avail) lead the rebellions of Danish.

Look up at the Gamla Stan area please, there are some buildings that doesn’t have window. Because having more window meaning you are being taxed more. Some people doesn’t want to pay it, to please the eyes, they decided to paint it.

Some house also have a proof that they paid a fire insurance for their house. How do you know it? look at the symbol / ornaments on top of their door. The symbol of Phoenix rises from ashes…. how ironic can you be. In worse case scenario, if 2 houses were on fire. The house with the fire insurance symbol will be saved first. If both have the symbol then the one with colorful symbol will be saved first. Fast forward now, it’s not valid anymore 😉

They have a German Church in Estocolmo whom doesn’t have Gargoyles but rather a north metology.

We visited the little iron boy statue sitting on a kitchen table looking at the moon and dreaming. His head is made from Swedish iron, really easy to be mold meaning a very high quality. During WW Swedish iron is on a very high demand. He gave access to Germany for the iron… for all that, Sweden asked in return for Germany to never step foot in Sweden. That is why Sweden is not bombarded during WW and became a safe heaven for Jewish population.

May peace come to this piece of our beautiful world. A sentence serve as a slide show on the display in front of the Nobel Prize Winner museum. She said if one of your friends got nominated for Nobel, he or she can take 12 friends with him / her to the banquet. So… my friends, maybe it’s time to do your job? hahaha

The Gamla Stan (the one who always come out everytime you type Stockholm) is like a red banquet scene from Game of Thrones, nope I didn’t watch it. So what was happening? The Danish locked the door, only to start the beheaded party of each Swedish Nobel on that evening, it was very gruesome. The ground we are on are uneven, it was believed caused by the blood was running out from the building. The white square in the wall represents the number of the beheaded Swedish high noble, it is that much!! Gustav managed to survived, gathered the crowd, attacked, send back the Danish intruder without clothing to Copenhagen.

The rivalry between Denmark and Sweden is still existing, if you go to IKEA all the name for beautiful decoration will be in Swedish name, on the opposite all the doormat will be in Danish name.

How about my learning curve? Will keep typing 🙂

Little Rascal

Nordwest has an internal magazine that published maybe only 3 to 4 times a year named TeamGeist, the purpose of it is to let us know what is happening with all employees (at least that’s what I thought), when someone get married, a baby is born they can send the picture to the redaction team, new colleagues or what Nordwest has done during that period of time.

One of the example is this Family Day in May

Somewhere in May I got an email from one of our TeamGeist’s team, asking if I’m willing to have an interview telling my story about how I get to Germany. Yaiiissss was my answer 🙂 whether there will be someone who wants to listen or in this case read my story that’s a different things but for me, I am for sure willing to do it 😉 Not to lie, I was a bit nervous. The interview went for an hour, Sophie was very professional, she pushed the record button with an announcement “the interview starts in 3…2…1”

Life goes on for some time until Sophie finished her draft then asked for my confirmation. One day, Esther came to me said “There is a full page of you with your photo in the next TeamGeist” what? where? how do you know? She’s got an access to proofread the magazine first but didn’t show it to me nor to anyone else.

By middle of September, Sophie said “I think it should be issue in September, it won’t be long”

Few minutes before Mittagspause, the email I’ve been waiting for this whole time arrived!

Being a little rascals, I bloody make sure everyone stop what they are doing to read that specific email! Scroll scroll scroll, find myself there!!!

I am become TeamGeist advertiser for sure that whole week, “have you read TeamGeist page 12-13” with an intonation which has a sounds more like a statement instead of a question 😉

I was too excited to not read the whole sentence from the email so I didn’t know they still print it until I saw it in our Cantine, ofc you know what will I do, definitely took a couple of it!

Need to spread it to my family back home yo! One I’ll put it in my Opa’s shelfs that he considered as an achievement, not his own’s rather his children and grand children. I’ll make sure this magazine stands between thesis’ collections, graduations picture, a picture where my sister shake hands with our President #yes this TeamGeist is at the same level with all of those 😉 I’m your only grandchild that made it to bloody Europe heyyy besides that magazine will be the only one that’s written in German, although it wasn’t me who wrote it…. in my opinion…. that’s something needs to be count…#still!

I mentioned I took a couple exemplar didn’t I? Well, I’ll hang it on my wall too, make sure everyone who comes to my home sees it 🙂 Yes! this is what happened when I’m the topic of it, Werbung ohne Ende haha

This TeamGeist edition is full of the people that I want! Julia and Moritz wedding picture is there plus their Baby Milo!

Thank you Sophie for choosing to write a story about me <3

Never Say Never

FYI, there’s nothing to do with Justin Bieber’ song or tribute for Belieber 😉

At first, I always say “Never take an online class, I will have zero motivation, it won’t be good and I will not like it, ever!” But the fact say otherwise, Covid case is not showing any sign of going down and they prolong the home-schooling time therefore a language institute is not allowed to have a student in their school, so my second German class is online as well pfff. I was hesitate at first but compare to doing nothing, in addition that it was still winter time in Germany, staying indoor and keep myself sane by doing online class seems not a bad option.

Okay so my class starts on 7th Januar until 25th Februar, still have a hope that they will lower the restrictions maybe by Feb and change to Präsenz class? Yes of course, keep positive and optimistic!

Leon, Saurabh, Ramina and Ava were my classmates in my previous class but the others are new to me. On my previous class all of us are living in Germany, but for this we have Emily that is living in England, Silvia in France (but later in Dortmund), Firdaouss in Morocco and Ahmed in….. for the whole time I thought he is in Dortmund but I only knew he wasn’t up to the end of the class and I still vergessen of where he is haha! And the rest of the classmates like Ramina, Saurabh, Marina, Nenad, Andrez, Rachana are in Dortmund only Leon in Dülmen and Ava in Wuppertal.

Nevertheless, these people give me like some kind of “inspiration” or “motivation” or whatever words that fits for that (Emily you are the only native speaker, help me in this haha) to keep learning wherever you are, now we are more and more borderless. They really open my minds to show that the benefits of online is people outside one country can learn if they really want to. I know it sounds very not important but for some reason when I know where they wohnen it’s really inspiring and something inside of me was triggered to also keep learning and don’t let the place limited yourself. Turns out online class is not that bad after all.

We had a little bit of “drama” for this class, due to some organizational stuff, Frau Ziyadli asked if it’s possible to have a class on Friday? I mean, it’s that even a question? No way in hell I’m gonna study on Friday, I’m not a machine, I need to relax or else I would explode! But my answer wasn’t satisfying for the institute, of course I can it’s just I don’t want too, therefore I really thank to Nenad and Ramina as someone who has a child it is really hard to have a class on Friday so we keep our class the way it is unfortunately we need to let her go and Julia come to substitute her. Its hard for us to suddenly have a new teacher, we were very dramatic but on the other hand I believe it must be so hard for her too to suddenly get involved in the middle of the class but she is doing a really good job! I think she fits perfectly to us and to me it doesn’t seems that she’s a substitute teacher, seems like she knows us from the start and her method of teaching is really fits us… well, not sure about us but fits me for sure 🙂

The class keep rolling with our first teacher Frau Brzezina for Montag und Donnerstag and with Julia for Dienstag und Mittwoch… until the exam! None of us realize that exam is just around the corner, we are far and I meant faaarrrr from being ready for exam and yet we have a very good “drama” (spoiler: it’s really not a drama at all that’s why I have the quotes) with the coming back of Silvia! Our crazy Krankenschwester! she went for a week of class in the beginning and goneee for the rest of the class until one fine day on the weekend she texted us in the group.

We got our senior Krankenschwester back! I never met her in real life but you don’t need to do that to know that she’s such a crazy person 🙂 I know I will love her to death but I won’t give myself up to be treated with her haha there are many people in the class that have Krankenschwester as their Traumberuf, zum Beispiel Leon, Firdaouss, Emily and Ava and for some reason I feel safer to know they will be my Krankenschwester just in case I’m sick haha my trust issue is high, with Silvia I think she will make a “salad” for me “hmmm… yes ein bisschen this Medikamente, ein bisschen das, oh with this liquid, that must be good!” haha I’m more looking forward to meet you though 😉

Ok back to the exam, we have writing on Montag and speaking on Dienstag. For speaking I was with Leon. I need to have with my laptop and my Handy because my camera on Laptop is broken! I am so glad that the writing exam is over! and then we have another proper picture it was such an anstrenged 3 hours time of my life! Here we are after the exam 🙂

Andrez added a short comment about our group picture and it was really funny!

One thing I took for myself after this class is I will never be an online teacher! haha I know I said never say never but this I know it for sure, I have zero patient if I have student like Andrez that keep asking “which page?” thank you so much that we have Frau Brzezina and Julia that has the patient as long as Nil river if it’s up to me I would rather say “pay the Goddamn attention! it’s UNO UNO NUEVE!” haha

Fortunately we all passed! So here we all again on our online-certification day, this time we have Julia with us.

I like my classmates though, Ahmed the King of Grammar luckily he’s not frustrated because all of us not strong at it, Ava die Wahrsagerin that makes me want to go to Wuppertal and have my Kaffeesatz lessen, maybe you should pursue it 🙂 Andrez the architektur, Nenad the sporty father, Saurabh is always the one that surprise me sometimes he’s there and sometimes he’s not, Ramina and Rachana the one that keep motivating me to do homework, Marina the wonderful mom that homeschooled her two sons #crazy! Silvia, the one that I could feel she is larger than life, Firdaouss the amazing 18 years of age that is already fluent and somehow I thought when she read something it almost like a native German speaker! Leon, the same with Firdaouss amazing 19 years of age that’s very independent and strong, I know you two will be a good Krankenschwester, I’m glad I’m 10 years older than you so I will be safe when I’m old and sick to have you as my Krankenschwester 🙂 And Emily! the future Queen of England not because she’s drinking tee every afternoon but because of her voice is so soft and always so nice when for one day I got my camera back she said “Marlyn, du bist zuruck” and that voice is so soothing and calming the kind of voice that I would never have, bow to the queen! I am happy with my ex or no ex teacher, Frau Ziyadli, Frau Brzezina and Julia thank you for all the lessons, I know online class is hard for you as teachers too. Nevertheless, you successfully transfer all knowledge that we need, now is time for us.

Here are us once again in one edited picture 🙂

Thank you for all, hope you all healthy and wish you all the best in whatever things you pursue. Good luck in our German language journey and hope to see you in person when the circumstances allow to do so.

Take care and for now… auf wiedersehen!

I Need To Talk To A Human!

Since there is no sign of Covid-19 going down in Germany, more restrictions has been applied, but the ground has always been “avoid crowds”, every meeting professionally or casually are shifting to online. To me it seems like when you try to call customer service and the machine is the one who pick it up and you just want to scream “Operator, operator, I need to talk to a human!” It is really hard to get a human contact for the past 2 months, apart from my workplace, I still need to see another human being so I enrolled to a German class at night after work. I was carefully look for the one that is not online because I”m just sick of it. And I’m glad I found one!

My class runs from Monday to Thursday from 17:15-20:15 this is pretty something especially I always come after work, there are some moments where I completely dysfunctional but my classmates are the one who motivates me to keep going. Who are they? We have 9 real persons mwahaha (including me) and 3 online students. Ramina and Fateemah from Iran; Saurabh, Vishnu, Reddy (not ready), Kovid (not Covid), Prasana, Tiramdasu (not Tiramisu) Varun from India; Tatsiana from White Russia; Leon from Zambia and Onur from Turkey.

They are all really funny, Onur-the smartest guy in class, he always leave at 8PM due to he need to catch his train to Bochum. Saurabh never came on-time and Frau Petra always ask where he is. Fateemah always not-on, she talks when she’s not supposed to but yeah maybe because she’s online so it’s hard to keep up what we are doing. Vishnu, my first friend, my table mates, never get his $h!t together 😉 haha but in the end he got his $h!t better than mine, I was very dilligent in front but towards the end I’m a bit loose. Tatsiana and I are the only students who are working in the day time so we don’t really know or do some efforts of the homework. Varun is a crazy Indian that always wear short-sleeves, what is wrong with you? it’s like 2 degree man! Prasanna the coin guy who always have 50 Cents that I need to wash my clothes, Kovid surprisingly understand Genitiv really good, Reddy always laugh whenever Frau Petra corrected our pronunciation about “Welche”, “Zeit” anything that has W or Z because we all sucks in it. Seems the only students that consistent with our homework is Leon and Ramina.

They are very unified too, I had an idea to give our teachers a small Christmas gift as I like them so much and my classmates also willing to participate. It is funny when Onur write on the card “Danke fuer seine hilfe” and Reddy realized it “Man, who are you thanking to? It’s thank you for his help? who’s helping you?” haha Onur, the smartest guy in class can also make mistake 😉 Of course the teacher will know that we are using google translate to write this long sentence because no way in hell we came up with these sentence all by ourselves.

One teacher, Frau Petra was really like her presents, she knows by 8PM Onur will leave the class so before it, she ask to have a picture with us. And the best phone we have so far is Onur’s, he’s having iPhone 12! Man, you are so update!

These people make me feel that my weekday is very productive with studying and and without my consent, it’s already Pruefung time, seems I don’t even learn anything! haha This is we when we are waiting our turns for our speaking test.

Of course I don’t believe a language institute would failed you. For me the real Pruefung is not the score that is written on a piece of paper but rather the daily speaking in German so I don’t really stressed myself so much. Just like Vishnu “No man, I never stressed, I always ready” read: he’s not even prepared haha

The second day is our writing test and the day after is our Certificate day haha our lovely teacher Frau Marina and Frau Petra brought some cakes and chocolates and some Christmas decorations just for the purpose of the pictures. But we can’t do selfie this time so Kovid asked one of his friends to help us take the picture…but… he only got one job! which is take the whole pics of us including the online students, I guess this was too hard for him haha see how many times we tried, he always doesn’t get a full pictures groarr!

In the end, here is the more or less acceptable picture 🙂

There it is, the day is over. Me and Tatsiana will go to the next class starting in January, perhaps Leon too, but the others will go on March. Thank you all, it was a really fun time to be your classmates and hopefully we all can have our metamorphosis to have a German level that a German could understand #no need to be fluent, I’m a realistic person 😉

Since I’m going to the next class without Vishnu and Onur, well… at least I got their pen with me 😉

Forgot to return, it’s mine now! 😉

Let’s the study begin!
